WORK EXPERIENCE:

2006 - TO DATE            : DIRECTOR GENERAL, SAUDI ARABIAN AIRLINES

2001 – 2006                : PRESIDENT – SAUDI TELECOM COMPANY

Appointed as President of STC on 04 June 2001 where all restructuring requirements were completed and the company shares placed in public offering. The STC is now considered as the largest Telecommunications Company in the Middle East and one of the tenth largest telecommunications companies in the world.

1998 - 2001                : VICE PRESIDENT – FINANCE, SAUDI TELECOM COMPANY

Joined Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC) – Saudi Arabia  as Vice President Financial Affairs on 01 May 1998 in-charge of restructuring STC, a newly privatized company after its separation from the Ministry of Post, Telegraph & Telephone to function commercially.

1997 – 1998                      : CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER – AL-MARAI DAIRY CO.

Worked with Al Marai Company as Chief Executive Officer for one year. Al Marai is one of the largest integrated Dairy and Food Company in the GCC.

1989 – 1997                : THE SAUDI BRITISH BANK

Held various positions at the Saudi British Bank such as Senior Manager Retail Banking; Area General Manager and the latest of which as Executive Director Investment Banking and a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank. Investment Banking comprises Corporate Finance; Syndication; Private Banking; Al Tadhamon; Factoring; and the 'International and Local Equities' department.

Duties and responsibilities included management and implementation of business strategies of these departments to ensure sustainable growth in profitability and size, optimize productivity and control of operating and credit risks within the acceptable parameters.

1983 – 1989                : THE SAUDI INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT FUND

Worked with Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) as Project Team Leader. The job involved in the analysis and evaluation of industrial projects prior to releasing of funds. Also, performed special projects such as Industry Study and Policy Changes related to lending.

1981 – 1983                : KING ABDULAZIZ AIRBASE – ROYAL AIR FORCE BASE ENGINEER

Was responsible for directing the Operations and Maintenance works at the Dhahran International Airport and King Abdulaziz Airbase.

BOARD MEMBERSHIP:

- Board Member of the Saudi British Bank from May 1996 till todate.

- Board Member of the National Company for Cooperative Insurance from 2000 to 2003.

- Board Member of HSBC Investment Bank since 2004 till to date.

- Board Member of the Aseer Holding Company since 2006 till to date.

- Chief of the Founding Committee for the Middle East Investment and Finance Company since 2006 till to date.

TRAINING:

- Full year training course in Banking & Credit at Chase Manhattan Bank 1984.

- Advance Management course for Executives at Harvard University for four months in 1995.

- Attended various training courses in Management and Marketing from International Universities.
